From its celebrated opening at London's Palace theatre in October 1985, this stunning adaptation of Victor Hugo's epic masterpiece immediately captured the imagination and enthusiasm of the theatre-going public. Les Miserables has already been performed in 38 countries, 221 cities and sung in 21 different languages. Having won awards all over the world, including an unprecedented eight Broadway Tony awards, Les Miserables has earned itself a unique place in musical history.
The new principals include Broadway star Norm Lewis as Javert; Allyson Brown as Fantine; Jimmy Johnston, twice Olivier-nominated for performances in The Pirates of Penzance at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park as Thénardier; Nancy Sullivan, finalist in BBC1 reality TV casting program "I’d Do Anything", as Eponine and 2010 X Factor finalist Lucie Jones make her West End debut playing Cosette.
Drew Sarich continues in the show as Jean Valjean and Alistair Brammer returns to the role of Marius from 26th July.
