Martin Harvey made his debut performance as the new Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing in September 2008. This week he has been honoured with the ‘Spotlight Best Male Dancer Classical’ Award at the prestigious Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards 2009. This award celebrates Martin’s outstanding 11-year career at the Royal Ballet. He stunned the ballet world when he decided to take the leap from classical ballet to the West End’s hit show Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre.
