Dreamboats & Petticoats

In 1961 emotions run high as talented young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win the hearts of their adoring female fans - and more importantly, the gorgeous Laura. But when Laura shows that she’s no slouch with the guitar, rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons...Dreamboats and Petticoats – the songs from this Theatre Break will live forever.

Starring Scott Bruton, an X Factor finalist, Scott wowed the nation, Simon Cowell and the other X Factor judges with his vocal talents as he battled his way into the top 12 of this year’s contest. Joining Scott is Ben Freeman, famed for his role as Scott Windsor in ITV’s hit soap, Emmerdale, a character he played for ten years, and Jennifer Biddall who played Jessica Harris in Hollyoaks.

Tony Christie is currently playing the role of Older Bobby and Phil, Bobby's father. Christie says: "I saw the show's original opening night in London almost a year ago and just loved the story. And of course the music is incredible - The Platters, Phil Spector, Roy Orbison, Marty Wilde - all artists I grew up listening to. As soon as I saw it I've been searching for a gap in my diary to join the show".

The Theatre Break was first staged in London at the Savoy Theatre following a UK tour, but has been playing at the Playhouse Theatre since January.
