Based on the 1980 film of the same name 9 to 5 the Musical is a fantastic new musical comedy featuring 18 songs written by Dolly Parton including the Grammy nominated 9 to 5. 9 to 5 the Musical will appear at the Edinburgh Playhouse from the 26th November 2012 to the 1st December 2012.Written by Patricia Resnick and Colin Higgins the iconic film starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as three female employees seeking revenge on their misogynistic boss Franklin Hart, Jr. Experiencing prejudice and disappointment in their work lives the three women come together in a series of outrageous and hilarious events as they try to bring equality into the work place.The musical version of the film including the Tony and Grammy nominated score by Dolly Parton, opened on Broadway on April 30, 2009, before embarking on a US tour.

9 to 5 the Musical is a rip roaring comedy that takes the everyday grind of working life and turns it upside down. With the development of unlikely friendships, the struggle to improve working conditions amidst office politics and some highly entertaining and extreme measures to put a stop to their boss this is a must see show for anyone who has ever struggled at work and for any Dolly Parton fans.
