Itinerary
Day One: Spend
the morning in The Charles Dickens Museum followed by lunch at
The Crypt in St Martinin-the-Fields. In the afternoon
choose a matinee performance from: Twelfth Night, The Importance of
Being Earnest, Hamlet, The Vortex, The History Boys and many more.
Enjoy dinner at the quirky Salieri restaurant with its compelling
theatrical décor. Then walk off your dinner with a
Dickens or Shakespeares Walking Tour. Retire to the
hostel for a bedtime drink-fuelled discussion of the days
events.
Day Two: Visit
the London Poetry Library to encourage wider reading and develop
information, literacy and research skills with a range of subjects
from WW1 poets to Carol Ann Duffy. Follow this with the exhibition,
tour and workshop at Shakespeares Globe. Take a flight in the
London Eye before heading to the National Theatre for a backstage
tour, pizza supper and an evening performance.
Day Three: Morning
coffee and recitals at the Poetry Cafe. Time for a little shopping
in Covent Garden then, laden with bags and memories, leave for home.
