MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel has been awarded a 4-star standard.
There are a
total of 47 rooms with 220 beds over 6 floors consisting of single
rooms, double rooms, shared rooms and dormitories.
This hostel is
centrally located and within easy reach of public transport (South
Kensington and Gloucester Road Tube Stations) |

The newest
member of the MEININGER Group is also in the immediate vicinity of
some of London's greatest museums.
The Museum of
Natural History, The Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert museum
and the Geological Museum are all within a few minutes walk whilst
Kensington Palace is only 500 m away and Buckingham Palace a mere
1000 meters. The Royal Albert Hall is close by too, if you are
lucky enough to be watching... or performing! |

All rooms,
with the exception of the 6th floor, have a shower, WC and air
conditioner. The 12-bed dorms have a TV and lockable cabinets. The
sanitary facilities on the sixth are located in the hall and each
room has a sink.
Additionally,
all rooms at MEININGER City hostels & Hotels London have an air
conditioner that can be regulated from the reception. |

Hi Rachel,
We had a fab time in London all due to the excellent service.
The hostel was actually very good. Ideally located and well suited to students.
Rooms were very clean and quiet - again good.
If I had a gripe it was having to rent towels and hairdryers. On the
return of them money was refunded - you had to read the small print
on the contract.
Breakfast times need to be booked in advance but the staff were very accommodating.
We would like to use them again next year
