Theatre Breaks News: A Chorus Line Names Its Stars
A Chorus Line Names Its Stars
A trio of musical theatre leading ladies – Scarlett Strallen (pictured), Leigh Zimmerman and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt – have been announced to play auditionees Cassie, Sheila and Diana all hoping to impress director Zach in A Chorus Line when it takes to the London Palladium stage next year.
And the stern faced, no nonsense director is played by Ex-EastEnder John Partridge who is no stanger to musicals himself having appeared in Cats and The Drowsy Chaperone. He was also on the judging panel of BBC’s search for Dorothy so should know a thing or two about selecting the right candidate for his show!
This great show follows the stories of the singer/dancers as they line up and try to impress Zach – who is a hard man to please. They all have histories full of highs and lows, with one auditionee, Cassie, having been previously romantically entangled with director Zach. Will this be an advantage or go against her as she tried to get noticed and picked for a part.
