Theatre Breaks around the UK
Theatre Breaks have been providing short breaks for theatregoers for over 30 years.
Established in 1980, Theatre Breaks has organised theatre and hotel breaks to London, Edinburgh, Stratford-Upon-Avon and a host of other UK cities (not to mention a few top European destinations such as Paris, Vienna and Budapest!) for over half a million holiday-makers.
And the reasons for booking a theatre break have been numerous – from wedding proposals to Golden Anniversaries. A short break to London’s Theatreland is popular with couples, small family groups right up to large groups of over 100 for corporate events: with the diverse nature of London’s West End, Edinburgh’s Fringe Festivals and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon, there really is something for everyone.
Of course the top musicals are what tend to attract most people on weekend breaks to London. The idea of going to see The Phantom of the Opera or Les Miserables on a Saturday night is as exciting now as it was when they opened over 25 years ago! Of course there are always new shows opening! 2013 has seen many new shows open. New shows like Once, The Book of Mormon, The Commitments and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, whilst The Full Monty, Jesus Christ Superstar and Dirty Dancing return for another run.
Elsewhere around the country a short break with added entertainment can include a plethora of “once-in-a-lifetime” experiences: introducing your children to Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre or enjoying the pomp and ceremony of the Royal Military Tattoo in Edinburgh, because drama needn’t always be served up in a theatre!
The kids would also LOVE the action at the ATP Tennis Finals at the O2, the International Horse Show at Olympia or Harry Potter Studio Tour packages which can be found at our sister site.>
For whatever reason you are considering a short break or “staycation” as they now call it, in the UK, we would be honoured if you would consider one of ours… we would be glad to help you in any way we can.
