Let’s forget all this cold weather and look forward to the sunny freshness of Spring which, fingers crossed, is just around the corner. A sure sign that it really is close is the fact that bluebell buds are in abundance in my local woods and we are thinking of Easter Theatre Breaks!
Easter Theatre Breaks
During the Easter school holidays London has lots to offer in the way of theatre and lots more, so why don’t you bring the family down to Theatreland.
Of course, there’s the old stalwarts of Disney’s The Lion King now in its 16th year at the Lyceum theatre – still as popular today as it was when it opened in 1999 – a truly magical experience for all the family with its instantly recognisable soundtrack and utterly jaw-dropping animal costumes; then there’s the marvellous musical Matilda at the Cambridge theatre where a little girl, ignored by her self-absorbed parents, uses her hidden magical talents to get herself well and truly noticed; and “new kid on the block” Aladdin absolutely “wowing” audiences eight times a week at the prince of Wales Theatre – a spectacular show full of catchy songs and amazing special effects – I love the Genie.
Why not combine your theatre break with a visit to one of London’s exciting attractions including Madame Tussauds, the London Eye, the London Dungeons and Sealife Aquarium – for those with loads of get up and go you can buy a combined ticket to entry to all four attractions!
