‘The most thrilling and emotionally stirring musical’ (The Daily Telegraph), the epic love story of Miss Saigon has brought audiences to their feet with its soaring music, breathtaking action and spectacular staging.
Taking guests on an emotional rollercoaster, Miss Saigon tells the tragic tale of a young bar girl, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI, but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon during the chaotic end of the Vietnam War in 1975.
Originally opened at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 1989, it returned to the Prince Edward theatre in 2014 where it reportedly set a world record in pre-sales amounting to £4 million. Over its 25+ year history the show has played in 300 cities in 15 different languages, winning multiple awards around the world.
With a haunting musical score including “Movie in my Mind”, “Why God Why?”, “Last Night of the World”, “I Still Believe” and “I’d Give My Life For You” as well as some newly written songs, Miss Saigon delivers a bag full of emotions from joyous laughter to tears of dispair as you witness the devastating effects of a young girl’s innocence shattered by a brutal unforgiving civil war.
