Theatre Breaks for The Rocky Horror Show in Edinburgh
Hot from it’s sensational West End stage return, cult classic The Rocky Horror Show traveled to all four corners of the UK in 2016 in its biggest national tour to date with Edinburgh audiences being treated to all things Transylvanian last March.
Premiering at the Royal Court theatre in June 1973, Richard O’Brien’s frothy, fun and naughty musical has become world famous having been performed in over 30 countries, all five continents and translated into 20 languages.
Starring former X Factor finalist Diana Vickers as Janet, ex-Emmerdale actor Ben Freeman as Brad and S-Club 7’s Paul Cattermole as Eddie, this brand new production created by director Chirstopher Luscombe (former Artistic Director of the RSC) to celebrate the show’s 40th Anniversary in 2013, has spent a year on tour in Australia and is now ready to thrill Edinburgh audiences in March 2016.
Follow squeaky-clean sweethearts Brad and Janet on an adventure they’ll never forget courtesy of the cross-dressing Frank’n’Furter, muscle-mutt Rocky and vivacious Magenta. With Richard O’Brien’s classic original script and bursting at the seams with timeless classics, including Sweet Transvestite, Damn it Janet, and the pelvic-thrusting Time Warp, The Rocky Horror Show will make sure that Edinburgh is the place to party this Spring!
And remember… If the corset still fits, wear it!!
