The RSC's A Midsummer Nights Dream at Stratford-Upon-Avon
A bunch of amateurs… One group of successful amateur performers who will appear along side professionals at the RSC in A Midsummer Night’s Dream this year.

On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find that the course of true love runs anything but smooth as they find themselves embroiled in games of mystic magical fantasy in an enchanted forest where sprites and fairies determine their fate. Chief mischief-maker Puck casts a spell which will either bring feuding Oberon, the Fairy King and Titania, the Queen together or tear them further apart as he ensnares the hapless band of travelling performers unwittingly into his wicked game.

The boundaries between reality and imagination merge as the characters find themselves caught in a web of magic and shape-shifters. With a unique mix of professional and amateur actors, this is A Midsummers Night’s Dream  unlike any Dream you have seen before.

Ayesha Dharker takes on the role of Fairy Queen Titania with Chu Omambala (seen in Hecuba last year) as Oberon, King of the Fairies. Joining them is Laura Riseborough, Mercy Ojelade., Jack Holden as Lysander and Chris Nayak.
