Chicago in Edinburgh

Theatre Breaks to see Chicago in Edinburgh

Murder greed corruption, exploitation, adultery, treachery… all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts… …and so begins Chicago – one of the most phenomenal musicals of our times, coming to Edinburgh in 2016.

For 1 week only, Chicago, starring West End and former EastEnders actor John Partridge (Cats, A Chorus Line) as Billy Flynn, Dancing on Ice winner Hayley Tamaddon (Grease, Mamma Mia!) as Roxie Hart, and X Factor winner and ex-prison warden Sam Bailey as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton will bring its slick, sexy show-stopping numbers to the Edinburgh Playhouse in June 2016.

Roxie has murdered her lover and is delivered into the hands of Mama Morton. But will her sleazy lawyer get her acquitted? More twists than the flamenco! The bright lights of a Chicago Theatre Break in London beckon. It’s the hottest musical Theatre Break in town…and it’s getting hotter. Now in its 14th sensational year, Chicago continues to sizzle at its new venue – the Garrick Theatre.  The Twenties are roaring with hot jazz and cold-blooded killers. Hoodlums are making headlines and the press are hungry for more. So when chorus girl Roxie Hart shoots her lover she reckons it’s her one chance for fame. Together with her rival in crime, Velma Kelly and silver-tongued lawyer Billy Flynn, getting away with murder has never been done with such style.

Feel the summer heat inside the theatre as Chicago sizzles with a little razzle dazzle thrown into the mix. Audiences will love its wit, glamour, style and sensational dance routines. It’s truly a Edinburgh Theatre Break to die for!
