New Musical Groundhog Day Theatre Breaks in London are no longer available to book
Groundhog Day theatre breaks are now sold out.
Based on the 1993 film of the same name, the multi award winning team behind the RSC’s Matilda the Musical, bring the London premiere of Groundhog Day to the Old Vic theatre.
When cynical TV weatherman Phil Connors is sent to the ‘back of beyond’ to report on a strange annual event, Groundhog Day, he finds himself in an inexplicable time-loop reliving the same day over and over again. As each day plays out exactly the same as before Phil becomes increasingly frustrated, but is there a lesson to be learned? Will he ever unlock the secret in order to break the cycle?
Groundhog Day is directed by Matthew Warchus with lyrics by Australian musician/comedian Tim Minchin and choreography by Peter Darling. The role of Connors is played by American Broadway star Andy Karl who has had great success in New York with shows that include Jersey Boys, Wicked, 9 to 5, Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer and Saturday Night Fever.

The Old Vic Theatre is on the south side of the River Thames, so you may be best off looking for hotels in that area. They tend to be slightly cheaper than their counterparts on the north side, so that is worth considering. Look out for the Travelodge, the Novotel or the Days Inn. The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge offers a bit of 4 star luxury.
