Sunset Boulevard Theatre Breaks in London are no longer available
Hollywood has come to the English National Opera as movie icon Glenn Close reprises her role in the new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical marvel Sunset Boulevard at the London Coliseum.

The new production is semi-staged in a joint collaboration with the ENO and the Grade Linnit Company (the partnership which produced Sweeney Todd starring Emma Thompson and Bryn Terfel) and Lord Lloyd Webber was said to be “thrilled” that audiences would get to see Glenn Close in the role she previously played on Broadway.
The story centres around fading silent film star Norma Desmond as she struggles to make her mark in the new world of “talkies”. She hits upon the idea of having a film role written especially for her and moves unsuccessful screen-writer Joe Gilles into her Sunset Boulevard mansion convinced that he will be her ticket to super-stardom. But Norma’s mind has gone beyond all sanity and the final act of her fame will ultimately end in tragedy.
